About Melalite® Forte Cream

Rating of sales:

Description

Melalite® Forte Cream is manufactured by Abbott. This is a topical treatment for dermal hyperpigmentation, also known as melasma, chloasma, liver spots, age spots, and freckles. Hyperpigmentation is an uneven darkening of the skin caused by overproduction of melanin, a pigment responsible for skin and hair coloring. Melanin abnormal growth may be caused by a variety of factors including aging, pregnancy, birth control pills, hormonal medications, exposure to sunlight, injuries, and skin inflammation.

Melalite® Forte Cream comprises Hydroquinone as an active ingredient. Hydroquinone is a benzene derivative of phenol type and a topical lightening agent.

MOA (mechanism of action):

Hydroquinone acts by inhibiting the synthesis of tyrosinase, an enzyme crucial for melanin production and functioning. When melanin growth is under suppression, the dark spots start lightening and the skin slowly comes back to its natural complexion.

Dosage

Melalite® Forte Cream is for external use only. Do not apply to your eyes, mouth, inside of the nose, private parts, and any other mucosal surface.

It is recommended to start the Melalite® Forte Cream treatment course with one application daily. After 10-15 days of such schedule, continue the course with two applications daily (preferably in the morning and at bedtime).

Melalite® Forte Cream is usually applied for 2-3 months.

How to use Melalite® Forte Cream:

1. Wash your hands and make sure the affected areas are clean and dry.

2. Take a small amount of the cream and gently massage it over the affected area avoiding mucosal surfaces.

3. Wash your hands after the cream application.

Precautions

Do not use Melalite® Forte Cream for longer than 6 months.

You should use sunscreen product (SPF 15 at least) during the Melalite® Forte Cream treatment course.
