About Benoquin® Cream

Rating of sales:

Description

Benoquin® Cream is manufactured by Mac Remedies. This is a topical treatment for final depigmentation in extensive vitiligo. Benoquin® Cream permanently bleaches normal skin surrounding the pale areas associated with the disseminated (covering more than 50% of the body) idiopathic vitiligo.

Vitiligo occurs when the immune system produces antibodies to organism’s own melanocytes, cells producing melanin. Melanin is a pigment responsible for skin and hair coloring. When this pigment is suppressed by antibodies, random areas of the skin start losing its normal color and become very pale or even white.

Benoquin® Cream is not a cosmetic skin bleach and it must not be used to replace hydroquinone. It is not used for hyperpigmentation, melasma, chloasma, "liver spots", "age spots", and freckles.

Benoquin® Cream contains Monobenzone as its key ingredient. Monobenzone is a monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone and and a topical depigmenting agent.

MOA (mechanism of action):

In topical administration, Monobenzone causes permanent melanocytes destruction. With the suppression of melanocytes, these cells are no longer able to synthesize enough melanin needed for usual skin complexion. Normal skin around vitiliginous lesions start bleaching and over time matches the paler areas of the skin. Such effect of Monobenzone also called permanent irreversible depigmentation.

Dosage

Benoquin® Cream is for external use only. Do not apply to your eyes, mouth, inside of the nose, private parts, and any other mucosal surface.

Benoquin® Cream is normally applied 2-3 times daily, usually for 1-4 months. After the desired level of skin depigmentation is achieved, Benoquin® Cream should be applied twice a week to maintain the depigmented skin complexion.

How to use Benoquin® Cream:

1. Wash your hands and make sure the affected areas are clean and dry.
